From the outset, our objective has been to establish Vencon Research International as the premier provider of compensation data on the professional services industries, and in particular, the management consulting sector.

By their very nature, these are clients who set the highest standards for both quality of their work and professional ethics. It is within this framework the Vencon must operate, to ensure an ongoing relationship of trust with the leading players in this field.

This in turn determines the standards and protocols of our work:

 

Analytic: In addition to all the usual compensation data analyses of overall means, percentiles and ranges, Vencon Research International reports include a full Raw Data set, enabling clients to further analyse the data in any way that best suits their requirements. The data tables, graphics and Executive Summary are comprehensive, and regularly revised in response to identified changes client needs.

Comprehensive: 55 countries, which are added to as the management consulting industry expands into new markets. More than 50 leading firms, ranging from independent strategy boutiques to the largest global players, representing nearly 300,000 consultants and support staff ranging from junior reception staff to senior partners.

Cost Effective: A progressive discount structure means that firms may purchase up to a dozen country reports, tailored to reflect the specific consulting sector of the client, for a cost equivalent to a single MBA sign-on bonus. Vencon Research International is exclusively a remuneration data provider to the professional services industries, and our research and production capabilities are therefore designed for optimal delivery of these data.

Current: Within Vencon Research International, data collection and validation is a continuous process, enabling us to produce salary and benefits reports annually, with biannual updates containing the very latest information. ‘Snapshot’ data can be provided in new or rapidly developing markets where scheduled release dates are insufficient.

 

Confidential: As their primary asset, Management Consulting firms are famously secretive about their professional staff. Only by observing the highest standards of data confidentiality, including commitment to any Confidentiality Agreement deemed appropriate by the client, has Vencon Research International been able to establish its position of trust with the leading firms. Participant identity is divulged only to other participating firms, and anonymity of individual data-lines is paramount.

Professional: Our clients comprise the elite of the global management consulting industry and in the quality of their research, reports and presentations operate to the highest standards. By setting the same standards for ourselves, we can enable clients to use our reports, graphics and tables in their original form when disseminating or presenting the information.

Primary Sourced: The principal sources of data are the HR Directors and Partners of the participant firms. All data are cross-validated against previous data-sets to ensure consistency, comparability and logic in the data as presented.

Relevant: Because of their comprehensive coverage of the consulting industry Vencon Research International data can be sector specific, differentiating for example between full service firms providing operations and IT advisory services and those firms involved only in strategic analysis. Our generic reports can also be tailored to meet specific client needs, for example mapping of their own data-line against only upper-quartile competitors.
